About Me

My name is Jessica Zoller and I live in beautiful Asheville, NC. I identify as she/her. I love guiding people towards their own inherent wholeness through yoga, meditation, music and sound experiences, and by being heard and seen and listened to.

I’ve cultivated a unique yet profound way of working where we connect in person to co-create a safe space to integrate traumatic life experiences through a combination of all of these modalities.

I studied and worked as a social worker (LMSW) and I continue to be a devoted student of somatics, psychology, spirituality and their integration. I also identify as a neurodiverse human (diagnosed with ADHD and Bipolar 2), and I am a passionate advocate for the destigmatization of mental health conditions. I became a social worker in 1998. I worked as a school social worker in Houston,TX. After that I worked as a counselor in a shelter for domestic abuse survivors, where I began to integrate yoga and meditation into programming. I also incorporated these practices in my work with teens and adults at a substance abuse treatment center. Concurrently, I taught yoga and wrote and played music in several bands.

I've been practicing yoga since the dawn of the new millennium (how auspicious sounding! In other words, since 1999) and started teaching in 2001. I've practiced and studied many styles of yoga and where I’ve landed in my physical practice could be considered an eclectic and grounded exploration of what it means to live in a human body. I've also had a long and particularly exciting relationship with my meditation practice. I'm basically really excited when I'm consistent with it! And I have been for many years now. It’s been both a slog at times and also a major, life changing relief.

The combination of physical and mental/emotional exploration, meditation, studying yoga, Buddhist and Jewish philosophy and inquiry work has led me to a profound shift in my way of being, and in my life. Through this work I've experienced healing of my body, mind, and spirit. In other words- integration of seemingly disparate yet obviously interconnected parts. What I continue to be amazed by and am compelled to share through my practice and teaching is essentially this: that the precious gift of connection invites each of us as humans to live into our own unique gifts as whole and complete beings.

Personally, I am a wife to my best friend and mom to an amazing daughter. Also my 2 dogs and 1 cat are LIFE. ❤️
